Top Hotel in Turkey by Forbes Magazine

Why does this place feel like Disney to visitors? It is simply magical to everyone who stays here. Argos in Cappadocia is what this hotel is called and it takes your breath away when staying here. Visiting Cappadocia is largely about touring: open-air museums, fairy chimneys, otherworldly rock formations, wintertime skiing, and the seemingly mandatory hot air balloon rides.

Argos in Cappadocia

HISTORY
Bankrolled by a Turkish communications and real estate entrepreneur, the 42-room (and counting) hotel was 13 years in the making before it opened in 2010. One of the country’s best-regarded architects spearheaded the project, and dozens more have been involved in the ongoing restoration of a cluster of ruined village buildings that are still so closely integrated with the surrounding town that it’s impossible to guess where the hotel ends and the neighbors begin.
